New items I recently bought under budget

Besides the recent tanning package I've bought in my local town I've been shopping for my summer necessities as in make-up, hair care, skin care, etc. all pretty under budget.
I'm just going to talk about two of my most recent items that I bought at WalGreens. A nail polish by Sinful Colors Professional for $1.99, and  two sets of eye shadow pallets by Color Me Glow Profusion for 99 cents.
With my flash on it looks more like a salmon color.

Without flash it is an orange-ish peachy color.
Very springy!

It's called Hazard.
I guess cause most hazard signs and cones are an orange color.

It's a very pretty color.
Goes on very well.
I put two coats on for safe measure.

These are the two palets.
They look dark and vibrant, but they are softer than shown.
That's good if you are going for a more natural look.
You can wet the colors as well, but the only difference is when wet it's more shimmery.

New Summer Vera Bradley Patterns

With spring already here and summer slowly approaching there are some much needed items you need to attain when the April showers bring not only May flowers, but also hot sun and some icky weather.

The Vera Bradley umbrellas are made of good quality and fun colors. I personally have two of them, one in Lemon Parfait (show above) and in Viva La Vera, a new summer pattern this season. I find them as great gifts for birthdays and holidays. Just a push of a button and you are dry.
These mini coolers are nice keeping your drinks cold or maybe lunch meat for a picnic.
I am short, so these towels may not be for everyone because they are only about 5 ft long, but I have them in Viva La Vera and in Folkloric (shown above). The flipflops come in Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large sizes, and are very comfortable. I have three pair in Sitting in a Tree, Deco Daisy, and in Folkloric(show above).
These sunglass come in many different style and patterns, and though kind of pricey, they are wonderful glasses. When you purchase a pair they come with a cloth carrying bag. I have the "Ray Ban" style sunglasses in Baroque, and the Avaitors in Lemon Parfait.
These are the new Summer 2011 season patterns. Viva La Vera, Waterfall, English Meadow, and Deco Daisy. I find that the patterns Waterfall and English Meadow look very vintage because they are not as bright and vivid in person. The Viva La Vera is a very fun pattern. The Deco Daisy is a very classic pattern, and the inside material is houndstooth.

Luggage. Every year I buy some form of new luggage. Not all of my Vera Bradley luggage matches, but I like it that way. There are many differnt sizes and styles of bag luggage, carrying cases, laptop cases, etc. Anything you need luggage for, and bam! they have it.

These are the Spring 2011 patterns. Lemon Parfait reminds me a lot of Sitting in a Tree, and that's a good thing. Most patterns you find some how resemeble an older pattern so you can mix and match with out clashing. Folkloric reminds me of the 60's and 70's. When I see this pattern I think of "The Brady Bunch". Boysenberry is another pattern that mixes and matches except with Very Berry Paisley. Blue Lagoon reminds me of the beach and a nice summer getaway.

Some of these items can be pricey, but for fun colors and good quality I will buy Vera for forever!
Most Vera is sold in stores in malls or little boutiques around your city, but if you can't find a store near you there is ALWAYS verabradley.com

Thanks Vera Bradley for the images.

P.S. DON'T FORGET SUNSCREEN!

I thought this was 2011 not the 1800's.

I didn't think my first post on here would be a rant, but while I was at school today an older man (and maybe only 10 years older than me) and I were talking in class with the group that sits with us and we were talking about our upcoming pyschology test that our professor had posted online. Someone asked if I had already taken it and I replied no, and this guy made the retort that I "shouldn't even bother taking the test because I would fail anyways". He made this remark because he is a man and I am a woman.

Needless to say I was irate. We live in America, and in 2011. I didn't think women were still opressed.  I graduated from high school just like you. I'm in my second year of college, and this is your first year. What makes this worse is that we are in a psychology class, and we were just tested on the differences between how a man and woman think, and there is none.

I'm not a feminist by any means, but this just pissed me off.

I'll be posting another blog hopefully today or tomorrow, and it should be a happy one. I just needed to get my rant off my chest.

Hey Y'all

Hey guys :)

This is my first posting and I'm trying to figure it all out, but mainly I just wanted to say I'm very sporadic with my thinking, so one day I might post something about a new album I just bought and what I think about it and then the next day I post it could be about a new nail polish.

I love to travel so I'll post a lot about the places I'll be going and what I'll be doing and post pictures. Most won't be big exciting places, but in 2012 I'll be spending 2 weeks in Ireland so look forward to that :)

XOXO Bria <3
